Irwindale, CA
Capitol Steel completed the full mechanical installation of the CP Group and MSS processing system for Athens Services’ new 155,500-square-foot Irwindale Materials Recovery Facility, designed to process up to 70 tons per hour. The company’s 20-plus-person crew handled mechanical assembly, rigging, alignment, and integration of conveyors, screens, sort-line structures, and MSS optical sorting equipment within a constrained construction footprint. Superintendent Jeremy McClain oversaw field operations and safety, while Project Manager Jeff Cullen managed coordination, procurement, and documentation. The installation was delivered on schedule, supporting the facility’s goal of increasing material recovery across multiple waste streams.
